The Studio and Staff
The DELLATOLAS Studio is located on the Cycladic Island of Tinos in the Aegean Sea; a relaxing three-hour boat ride south from the ports of Athens. Just minutes outside the harbour town of Tinos, the studio is convenient to all categories of accommodation, shopping, beaches and restaurants.
We welcomes everyone interested in being part of a creative learning sculpture studio. Novice and master carvers work in a shaded out door area where air hoses and electricity are available for all compressed air and power tools. Work areas adjoin a well-equipped marble factory that produces monumental and architectural commissions.
The studio hours are from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Saturday and from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Monday through Friday. The staff works closely with the participants during the morning hours allowing for a mid-morning coffee break in the garden. Carvers are welcome to return to the studio in the evenings for two hours of unassisted work. The working language of the studio is primarily English and Greek, with a working knowledge of French and German.
